Affordable renewable energy for economic recovery + record use in the US

Two recent exciting reports on the predicted future impact and current usage of renewable energy!

The first, as reported by Bloomberg from Lazard's Levelized Cost of Energy Analysis 14.0, highlights the affordability of renewables like wind and solar. These power sources are now cheaper than gas, and their being the economical alternative to fossil fuels also makes them a viable resource for helping economies impacted by Covid-19.

The other, coming from the Energy Information Administration, details the consumption of renewable energy in the United States and for the fourth year in a row, the US saw an increase in use in 2019. Between the six different energy sources measured - solar, wind, wood & waste, biofuel, geothermal, and hydropower - solar saw the largest percentage growth last year. AND...for the first time since 1885, the US saw energy consumption from renewables surpass consumption from coal.

Here's to trending in the right direction!
